Facebook’s Parse unveils SDKs for the Internet of Things

ParseIOTAfter the success of Twitter API Fabric that allows rapid development of mobiles apps for all platforms, Facebook is not much behind. Facebook acquired a mobile development company, Parse to use the platform to build mobile apps.

Last month, Facebook announced open sourcing Parse SDK. Parse lets you build your perfect mobile app on any platform and want you to focus on building user interfaces and let Parse handle complex infrastructure including cloud hosting and database, push notification services, and analytics tracking to your app. Currently, Parse has three major components, Core, Push, and Analytics. Parse SDKs let you build applications target iOS, Windows Phone, Android, Unity, Xamarin, and React.

Yesterday, Parse announced the availability of its new SDK for IOT that allows IOT developers to build apps target. Parse IoT SDK supports the following devices.

  • Raspberry Pi
  • Intel
  • Broadcom
  • Arduino
  • Texas Instruments
  • Atmel
  • Embedded C
